Rawatpur lies in the north-western part of
Srinagar in
Baramulla District. Lying at an altitude of 5,154 ft above sea level, it is near to
Batavyen Bhagwanpur. To the west of Rawatpur lies Kharabagh whereas Nawabbagh is to the east. Ahan and Ganjpur are to the north and south respectively.
By road, Rawatpur can be reached from Kharabagh and Zazun. From Srinagar, a journey of about 20 km towards Baramulla leads to this destination.
