Ratnagiri Balamurugan Adimai

Ratnagiri Balamurugan Adimai is a saint who has been in silence since the year 1968. He used to worship at the Ratnagiri Balamurugan temple while working as a clerk at the Electricity department. One day he went to the temple to offer worship only to be told by the priest that the articles for worship were not available. Grief stricken at the poverty of the temple and its deity, he circumambulated the temple and fainted. He awakened to a new self, having lost all remembrance of his old self.

Adimai resolved not to leave the temple till it was restored to its former glory. The construction of the temple is now over and it is now recovering lost status.
