Rashil is located in Lahaul and Spiti District and is 13 km west of Keylong, the district headquarters.

Kugti Pass is north-west of Rashil. Shansha is around 15 km to the north-east and Tandi is 10 km north-east.

Nearest airport is Kullu Manali Airport. Joginder Nagar Railway Station is the nearest railhead.
