Rangeshwar Mahadev Temple

Rangeshwar Mahadev Temple is located in the holy town of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. He is referred by the name Rangeshwar Mahadev.

Mathura, being the birthplace of Lord Krishna, is dominated by Vaishnavite temples. Only some Shaivite temples are present here. Rangeshwar Mahadev Temple is an important one among them. The other major Shiva temples are Gokarneshwar Temple, Bhuteshwar Mahadev Temple and Pipaleshwar Mahadev Temple.
