Ramesh Krishnan was born on June 5th 1961 in
Chennai. He is one of the best tennis players India has produced. He is the son of Ramanathan Krishnan, another great man of tennis. Ramesh made his debut in 1977 for the Davis Cup, and played for India for almost a decade. He won the under 16 title in USA. In 1993 he won the Davis Cup quarter finals against France. He was ranked no 23 on the ATP list in 1985. Ramesh retired officially from tennis in 1993. He now runs a tennis academy in Chennai.
