Ramapuram Sree Rama Kshetram

Ramapuram Sree Rama Kshetram is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Ram at Ramapuram in Malappuram District. An idol of Sastha is also installed in the complex.

Legend says that a north Indian Brahmin on his pilgrimage was carrying this idol along with him. He passed Vadakkedath Illam (house) at Ramapuram, placed the idol there, and went to call the male members of the house. The women in the house gave milk porridge to the deity and the idol got stuck in place.

A mirror lies in the corner of the temple in memory of the Brahmin. Ramapuarm is near Mankada in Malappuram District.
