Rakhumai Temple




Rakhumai Temple is a highly revered shrine located at Pandharpur in Solapur District of Maharashtra. The presiding deity is Rukmini, an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi.

The temple consists of an antarala, a mandap and a sabhamandap. The mandap and the sabhamandap were built by Chandulal, who was said to be a minister of the Nizam.

An ancient temple dedicated to Lord Krishna is situated nearby.

Pandharpur is about 38 km west of Solapur. Pandharpur Railway Station on the Kurduwadi-Sangole railway line is the nearest railhead.
