Raikal




Raikal is located 75 km from Karimnagar in Karimnagar District, Andhra Pradesh. Raikal is the site of an ancient temple of Kesavanatha Swamy, built in 11th century by the Kakatiyas. The temple is noted for its beautiful sculptures. Another temple of Panchamukhalingeshwara Swamy (Lord Shiva with five faces) is also located here. The idol is believed to be one of the two of its kind, the other being at Varanasi. The Bhimanna Temple is another major shrine at Raikal.
