Quince Seed is a shrub grown in rich, high and moist soil. It belongs to the family Rosaceae.
The shrub is characterized by oblong-ovate leaves; large, white with a purple tinge flowers; and tomentose, obovoid, yellow fruits. The seed and fruit are reported to be a demulcent, astringent, expectorant and cardiac tonic. Quince seed is useful in diarrhea and sore throat. Propagation is by means of cuttings or layers.
