Pythal Mala is a charming hill station situated near the Kerala-Karnataka border, about 64 km north of Kannur. Perched at an altitude of 1372 m, it is an ideal place for trekking.
This stunning calm hillock is rich in flora and fauna. For the advantage of tourists, there is a base reception centre and a watchtower atop the cliff. Trekking 6 km would take one to the top of the hill.
