Pundareekapuram Temple




Pundareekapuram Temple is situated on top of a small hill called Midayikunnam, near Thalayolaparambu in Kottayam District, Kerala. The presiding deity here is Lord Vishnu mounted on Lord Garuda.

The temple is noted for its beautiful mural collection. The sanctum sanctorum of the temple is exquisitely garnished with beautiful murals depicting scenes from the Hindu epics and puranas. The paintings also illustrate the frolics of Lord Krishna.

Pundareekapuram Temple is located on the Kottayam-Vaikom route.
