Puja Kunitha




Puja Kunitha, a folk dance form of Karnataka, is performed to worship Shakti. In this the dancers carry a wooden structure with deity, on their head.

Usually the dance form is more concentrated on the visual presentation, rather than oral recitation. A colorful bamboo pole is moved in accordance with the rhythm of the music.
