Also known as Ode, Pranavpur is a small village situated in the
Anand District of
Gujarat. The word 'Pranav' means 'OM'. Majority of the people belong to Patidar community. The other communities living here include
Brahmins, Suthars, Luhars,
Harijans, Muslims, Soni, Kadia, Valand and Christians. Agriculture is the main occupation. Tobacco, banana, potato, wheat, paddy, bajra and lemon are cultivated. The village has three lakes, one ancient step-well, two
dharamshalas, and numerous temples.
