Prabodhini Ekadashi, also known as Kartik Sudi Ekadashi, is the day when
Vishnu awake from his retirement. It is believed that on the Devpodhi Ekadashi, Vishnu retires to the Kshirsagar (milky ocean) for four months (Chaturmas). The god along with his consort is worshipped with lotus flowers. The main offerings are magdal and lotus seeds. Charity of Khatlo (bed) is also given to the poor.
