Pooyappally

Pooyappally is a hamlet in Kollam District, on the Oyoor – Kottarakara road, in-between Oyoor and Veliyam. It is about 4 km from Oyoor and 14 km from Kottarakara. The village is abundant with churches. A Government High School is the major educational institution here. Veliyam Sree Subrahmanya Swami Temple, Maruthamonpally Mahadevar Temple, Velinalloor Sree Rama Swami Temple and Oyoor Keezhuttu Sree Durga Devi Temple are the nearby temples. Other villages linked with Pooyappally are Ambalamkunnu and Meeyannoor.
