Pookottur

Pookottur is a historically important panchayat area in Malappuram. It is a picturesque place with plain land, valleys, hills and laterite hillocks. This is the place where, during the Malabar Rebellion, the Mopla warriors fought against the British with their traditional weapons and were killed in cold blood.
