Polokhor is a picturesque village, about 154 km south-east of
Srinagar, in
Kargil District of
Jammu and Kashmir. Nestled amidst the rising hillsides of the river valleys, it is 2 km east of
Kargil. Polokhor is an ideal base camp for trekkers.
Goma Kargil, Chanching and Baru are some of the neighboring places within two kilometers.
Polokhor can be easily approached from Srinagar via Pahalgam, as well as from Leh.
