Pitrus

Pitrus means ‘forefathers’ and it is a concept in Hindu Mythology. Pitrus dwell in Pitruloka (world of ancestors). Tarpana and Shraddha are rituals dedicated to Pitrus.

Recitation of mantras influences the Pitrus and is believed to bless those who offer oblation.
