Pierce Leslie Bungalow

Pierce Leslie Bungalow, built in 1862, is a representative of colonial buildings in Fort Kochi, 13 km away from Ernakulam. It was the former office of the famous coffee merchants, Pierce Leslie and Company. The architecture of the bungalow reveals the influence of local, Portuguese and Dutch style.

The most attractive part of the mansion is the wooden panels on the roof of the ground floor. The arched doorways, carved doors and the sprawling rooms of the bungalow are worth-seeing. The mansion also has water front verandas.
