Perumizhalai Kurumba Nayanar

Perumizhalai Kurumba Nayanar was one of the 63 nayanars explained in the Periya Puranam. He used to serve Shiva bhaktas with greate devotion. He mentally accepted Sundara murthi Nayanar as guru.

Once he came to know through his yogic powers that Sundarar came to Tiruvanchaikalam to attain lord’s abode. He had a great devotion on his guru and did not like to remain in this world without guru. So he attained the lord's abode one day before his guru's departure, through the method of Shiva Yoga.
