Parthenium Hysterophorus is an herbal plant and a weed species. It is also called congress weed, carrot weed, star weed, feverfew, white top, chatak chandani, bitter weed, ramphool and garghas.
It is used in asthma, bronchitis and dermatitis. It is also used in hay fever in humans and livestock. Parthenium is also useful in skin disorders. A decoction of the plant is prescribed as a remedy for a wide variety of minor illness.
