Paneri

Paneri is a town in central Assam’s Darrang District. It is located 40 km north of Mangaldoi, the district headquarters. The town is to the east of Dimakuchi, south of Khoirabari, west of Udalguri and Kobirali and north of Kalaigaon.

Anadhuapara Shantiniketan Buddha Vihar is the main place of religious importance. Attareekhat, which lies to the west of Paneri, is a place of great scenic beauty with tea plantations.

Udalguri Railway Station, situated at a distance of 20 km, is the nearest railhead. Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is the nearest airport.
