Pancharatna, a Sanskrit term formed from 'pancham', meaning 'five' and 'ratnam', meaning 'gem', represents the five Carnatic kritis or songs. Various composers have contributed different sets of Pancharatna kritis, but the most famous are those composed by the Saint Thyagaraja, one of the Trimurti of Carnatic music. The Pancharatna Kritis of Thyagaraja are Jagadanandha Karaka (raga Naattai), Dudukugala (raga Gowlam), Sadhinchane (raga Arabhi), Kanakana Ruchira (raga Varali) and Endaro Mahanubhavulu (raga Sri).
