Pale Weasel

Pale Weasel (Mustela altaica) has long cylindrical body, long neck, short legs, and long tail and is found in the western Himalayas.

The tail is more than half the length of the body. It has a narrow flattened skull. The upper surface of the coat varies from brighter yellow or dull sandy to darker and browner. The color of the limbs is same as that of the back, but the paws are whitish and contrasted. The ventrum is typically pale primrose yellow or cream and sharply demarcated from the tint of the upper side along the flanks and side of the neck.

Diets include lizards and birds. Pale Weasel makes its own burrows.
