IndiaPainguni Uthram
Painguni Uthram is one of the important festive occasions of Shasta temples in South India, especially in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. This festival, held amid much pomp and merriment, commemorates the birth of Lord Ayyappa. As per Malayalam era, Uthram star in the month of Meenam (March-April) is celebrated as Painguni Uthram. Thousands of devotees visit the Shasta temples during this occasion to get the divine grace and blessings.
