Nizampur is 17 km north-east of Goregaon, in
Raigad District. It is situated near the district’s south-eastern border with
Pune District. Nizampur lies 15 km from Mahad and about 22 km north of Birvadi.
The ancient caves near Mahad, the historic Pratapgarh Fort, Bhatghar Lake, Torna Fort, Khadakwasla Lake, Mahabaleshwar, Panchagni and Koyana Lake are prominent tourist locales in the area.
Pune Lohegaon Airport and Indapur Railway Station serve Nizampur.
