Nellikala is a serene scenic hamlet located between Kozhenchery and
Pathanamthitta. Gooseberry trees and swaying palms captivate the eyes of the visitors. This is a fast growing village with a Government Primary School, Marthoma Middle School and SNDP High School.
The main attraction of the village is the
Oottupara, a huge rock. It is believed that the oottu
sadya for Aranmula temple used to be conducted on top of this rock. Two ponds and the footmark of Bhima on this rock are the attractions here.
