Neja

Neja is a musical game associated with the Mina tribe of Rajasthan. This game is held on the third day after the Holi festival.

A tall pillar is erected by the women of the tribe. A coconut is then tied on the top of it. In this game, the men are supposed to steal the coconut. The women, holding small sticks and whips, guard the pillar. The men approaching towards the pillar are driven away by the women using sticks and whips. This game is played in a musical form. The women dance while driving away the men.
