Nedumangad




Nedumangad, the headquarters of Nedumangad taluk, is a small town situated 20 km north-east of Thiruvananthapuram, on the Thiruvananthapuram - Thenmala State Highway, in Kerala. It is an important trade center for hill and forest products like pepper and rubber.

Places of tourist interest in the vicinity include the Koyikkal Palace, Aruvikkara (6 km) and Neyyar Dam (16 km). Ponmudi (45 km), Thenmala (54 km), Peppara (32 km), Agasthyarkoodam (52 km) and Palaruvi (68 km) constitute enchanting excursions.

Closest airstrip is the Trivandrum International Airport. Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is the nearest major railhead. Nedumangad has regular buses plying to Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram and Ponmudi.
