National Institute of Technology, formerly known as Regional Engineering College, is a Deemed University located in
Warangal. Established in 1959, this institute was the first in the chain of 17 RECs in the country.
It offers courses in engineering disciplines such as civil, electrical, mechanical, electronics and communication, chemical, metallurgical and computer science and basic sciences such as mathematics and humanities, physics and chemistry and physical education.
The institute has organized centers/cells such as Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Centre for Educational Technology, Centre for Continuing Education, Industrial Liaison Cell, and Industrial Consultancy Cell. Training and placement section of the institute promotes placement activities.
