National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is located about 250 km north of
Delhi at
Mohali.
An autonomous body, this institute is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences, which promotes advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute has various departments such as medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutics, natural products, pharmacology and toxicology, pharmaceutical analysis, biotechnology, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical management. Courses are offered leading to Masters', M B A and Ph D degrees. Research publications are undertaken.
