Nakima




Nakima (Botanical name, Tupistra nutans) is an evergreen plant found in the hilly regions, mainly in eastern Himalayas.

It has long strap shaped leaves borne on a rosette from stout rhizome. The flowers are fleshy and last for some time in full bloom. It is used as a vegetable.

The plant is cultivated in villages in hilly regions.
