Mundan Ceremony




Mundan Ceremony, also known as Tonsure Ceremony, is a ceremony of head shaving and is usually performed when a boy is two to three years old. It is conducted on an auspicious day - the head of the boy is shaved amid the chanting of Vedic hymns. Mundan Ceremony is also performed by some families in their ancestral temple.
