Mountain Imperial-Pigeon




Mountain Imperial-Pigeon (Ducula Badia) is a 45 cm long large darkish pigeon. It has purplish grey head, neck, breast and belly. The chin and throat are white, mantle and wing coverts dark maroon and back and rump are dark greyish brown. It has a brownish black tail with a broad pale grey terminal band.

Mountain Imperial-Pigeon can be found in the Kudremukh National Park, Karnataka.
