Mountain Arnica belongs to the family Compositae and grows throughout the mountain parts of India. It is hardy perennial having roundish, rough and hairy stems; and large, yellow, showy flowers.
The flowers are stimulant, emmenagogue and antiseptic. All parts of the plant are popular medicines in internal bruise.
