Mount Sri Kailash situated at an altitude of 6932 m lies in Uttarkashi District
. The peak, pyramidal in shape is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva
. It is the second highest peak in the Garhwal region which entices any mountaineering enthusiast. Because of its conical shape and large glacier track with wide crevices, it poses a challenging task to the mountaineers.
