Menavali

Menavali is a picturesque spot, located about three kilometers from Wai, in Satara District.

Menavali is the hometown of Nanasaheb Phadanvis – one of the cleverest in Peshwai. Nanasaheb’s house, on the banks of the Krishna River, is worth visiting. A number of temples can also be spotted here, prominent being the one dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is noted for the Peshwai pictures graced on the walls and a huge bell won by the Peshwas in the war of Vasai in 1707. Pandavgadh Fort and Palpeshwar Cave are some of the points of interest around.

Regular buses are available from Wai Bus Station to reach Menavali. Pune Lohegaon Airport serve the area.
