Masherbrum, formerly known as K1 ('K' stands for Karakorams), is a high peak in the northwestern slopes of Karakoram ranges in Leh District. This beautiful mountain lies in Hushe valley in Khaplu area of Baltistan. It is at a height of 7,821 m above sea level. The glacier that originates from this peak forms a part of the Baltoro Glacier.
Masherbrum Peak can be approached via Skardu in Ladakh.
