Maryada Mahotasava

Maryada Mahotasava is a festival celebrated by the Terapanthi sub-sect of Jainism. It is an annual event held on the 7th day of the bright half of the Hindu month of Maagh (January-February).

This is a very unique kind of festival, offering an opportunity for the members of this sub-sect to come together. All the monks, along with their disciples, discuss the problems pertaining to their sub-sect, thus giving a deep insight into their religion.
