Manipur Jungle Queen

Manipur Jungle Queen (Sticopthalma sparta), always on collector's lists, is distributed in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.

Head, abdomen, and thorax are orange brown/yellow brown in color of this butterfly. The wingspan is around 12 to 15 cm. The upper hind has a large arrow-shaped border, while the upper forewing is rich tawny with a pale apex and dark scalloped border.
