Manikpatna

Manikpatna is located along the outer channel of the Chilika Lake. Historical evidence suggests the existence of an ancient port here, which was once a hub of trade with the Far East. An old mosque is located here, the entrance door of which is made with the jaws of a whale. It draws a large number of tourists. Bhabakundeswar temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is another point of attraction in the region.
