Mangala Gauri Ghat

A sacred spot in Varanasi, Mangala Gauri Ghat is also known as Bala Ghat after the name of Balaji Pasava-I, who built it in 1735.

At the top of the ghat is a temple, which enshrines the images of Gabhastisvara, Mangala Gauri and Mangala Vinayaka. Raghavendresvara Temple and Carcika Devi Temple are the other major shrines.
