Mallanaga Vatsyayana is renowned as the composer of
Kamasutra, the ancient Indian text on love. He was a north Indian scholar-saint. It is believed that he wrote Kamasutra in the 3rd century. It is stated in Kamasutra that he wrote this treatise of sex and love in a state of mental concentration and chastity.
