Malegaon Yatra

Malegaon Yatra is an annual fair held at Malegaon, about 47 km from Nanded. It generally falls in December and is held in honor of Khandoba, the incarnation of Lord Shiva as a warrior, who helped the Marathas to fight for the state. The prime attraction of the fair is animal market, and a large number of horses, camels and asses are traded on this occasion.
