Situated at an altitude of just 82 ft above sea level, Mahendraganj is an important town in West Garo Hills of Meghalaya. It is at the tri-junction of Bangladesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Mahendraganj is about 11 km from Digligiri.
Mahendraganj is surrounded by Beluar Char (4 km) in the west, Goalkanda (6 km) in the north, Lauchapra (9 km) in the east and Uthanerpara (5 km) in the south.
By road, the place can be easily approached from Tura, which is 166 km west of Shillong.
