Mahaganapathy Tarpanam

Mahaganapathy Tarpanam is a ritual that includes 444 tarpanams (water offerings) to Lord Ganesh. In this ritual, Lord Ganesh is placed on a small turmeric pyramid. This small turmeric pyramid dissolves with the water offerings. The water mixed with this turmeric is considered sacred and is used for bathing by devotees.
