Mahabaleshwar Mandir




Mahabaleshwar Mandir is an ancient temple situated on one of the most beautiful hill stations, Mahabaleshwar, of Maharashtra. This temple is famous for the naturally occurring linga and is an important landmark. The idol of Lord Mahabali is installed here from which the name has been derived. There is a room in the temple that contains a special bed. It is said that even if the doors remain locked, in the morning the bed shows the signs of somebody having slept in it.

Mahabaleshwar is 220 km from Mumbai and 180 km from Pune. Pune railway station is the convenient station but the nearest railway station is at Wathar. The nearest airport is Pune Lohegaon Airport.
