Madras School of Arts

Madras School of Arts is a very old and reputed art school located at West Mambalam, in Chennai. It was started in 1850 under the control of British administration with the objective of promoting art.

Madras School of Arts concentrates on decorative arts both in European and Indian style. The talented and experienced faculties of the school give training in drawing and painting modern art, textile design and painting and sculpture.

Mambalam Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Chennai International Airport is around 14 km south-west.
