Madhavrai Fair is held at
Madhavpur, a small town along the
Arabian Sea Coast in
Porbandar District of
Gujarat. It is celebrated in the month of Chaitra (March/April). Madhavrai Fair is organized to celebrate
Lord Krishna’s elopement with
Rukmini.
On the occasion of the Madhavpur Fair, the Mer tribes of the region re-enact the marriage ceremony with all its colorful traditions.
