Madanna Temple




Madanna Temple is a highly revered shrine situated on a hill in Golconda, Hyderabad District. The temple, considered to be the most ancient temple in Hyderabad, is believed to have been built by Kakatiyas in 1375 AD. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali and the presiding deities are Akkanna and Madanna. Several beautiful murals of the Goddess Kali can be seen on the white-painted façade.
